Pure transparency. This is an original poem I wrote about a current life situation. Pray for me, and share your thoughts. You are not your mistakes.
The Bottom
I have felt myself , for a long time, sinking
“I can beat my mind”, is what I kept thinking
Depression, grief, anxiety – all so dreadful
Therapy, family, all so helpful…
Screamed for help, but not loud enough
She’s resillient, she’s educated, She’s tough
Until the bottom, I had to sit
A pole, I hit
Injuries, regret and a first offense
What is happening? I am not this dense
I am the example, I know what to do
But human I am, too
You are not your mistakes, don’t stop
If you ever hit the bottom, keep your eyes up to the top
